What a lovely week we had! Lots to tell you about, I already doubt if I will remember it all.

We went up to the Bungalow last Sunday, and spent a lovely last day with Patrick. He was a bit nervous, but so excited about his new start. He cooked us a lovely BBQ for tea, and we had an early night. He then set off first thing Monday to Tiverton, and started work Tuesday there. I have spoken to him since (Thursday?), and he is doing really well. He is coding something, and they are very pleased with him; he has made lots of friends, and everyone seems nice. Maureen and I are so pleased for him- this could be the chance he needs.

Kathy had a wonderful time up in the bungalow- she really loves it there. She runs around the garden, and a couple times we took her out for a long walk around the lanes and fields; we even ended up in Loxhore once. She really loves it up there- I think she is a farm dog more than a flat dog.

Ralph and Ang came up Tuesday- Ang is so funny. They were telling us of what went on when Ralph went to Thailand. He does miss Nana, but he is sure that it is over; they still speak on the webcam every couple days though. She is pleased that he is with Ang now- she said they seem better suited. Ang is a funny one; it was all we could do to get him to keep his clothes on, he just wants to be naked all the time! I said the neighbours would mind, but to be honest, even with telling him that, I saw far too much of that mans todger. Ralph just laughs; Maureen does not mind either. Guess it is just me.

Dai and Valentine ended coming up Thursday night, and we all drunk a lot, and ended up singing together. We got to bed at 3am! Dai said he wishes he was here with Ang, and showed special interest in him walking around naked. Valentine said they called us ‘Maumond’ when we are not there- he said it is quicker. We quite liked that!

So Alma came up on Friday- we were still hungover- and stayed until this morning, when she came back with us. We drink wine when she is with us, but the thing is, wine gives me indigestion, so I can’t get too drunk. She is lovely, and I know Maureen is very relaxed when she is around, which is nice.

The weather has been on the whole very good- Tuesday was the best day of the week. In between people coming up, we did a bit of sunbathing. It is lovely having a place like the bungalow to go, and I like it that others come up and have a holiday with us. It is nice to share our luck.

I am also so lucky to have such great friends! We have laughed a lot this week. The rest has done my knees the world of good, and they hardly hurt now. In fact, as the saying goes, my batteries are fully recharged.

It is nice to be back in my own bed though tonight.

Yours sincerely
